If you’re struggling to clear your acne then there are a number of medical treatments that can be used to clear it up. Should you be so desperate to clear your acne up then any one of the methods I will talk about below will work and get rid of your acne. Like with anything you do there are risks and dangers, and that is no different with acne medical treatments. You should consult with your doctor or local GP before using acne medication and hear their opinion before going any further with acne treatment.

Benzoyl Peroxide

Benzoyl peroxide is used to kill any bacteria on your skin. It usually comes in the form of a gel or cream and is applied directly to the acne. Doctors use a few ranges of concentrations, 2.5%, 5% and 10% but studies show that there will be no differences should you use a high percentage cream or a low one. However, 2.5% cream is less likely to cause any damage to your skin.

Although Benzoyl Peroxide is a great way of killing bacteria in your skin, antibiotics are used as well. The antibiotics pill will cause any inflammation that is caused by acne to go down. Using the two above treatments together will clear your acne faster.

Retinoids

Sufferers of acne can take Retinoids, which are good at clearing out clogged up pours and give your skin a chance to re-grow. Retinoids have been branded a treatment that gives people emotional problems so if you do take Retinoids make sure your doctor knows about it so he/she can monitor you.

The above two treatments are the most effective and quickest ways to clear up acne, should you apply them properly.
